Ancelotti highlights the national team's efforts after defeat to Bolivia in the qualifiers: "It's very difficult to play here"

Brazil lost to Bolivia 1-0, at El Alto Stadium, in the last round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, on Tuesday night (09).

After the defeat, Ancelotti commented on the national team's performance:

" On the positive side of today's game, I saw the effort of the team, of the players, because it's very difficult to play here. That was already known. The players made a tremendous effort, the game was very complicated, difficult, both technically and physically ," said the coach.

With the negative result, Brazil ended its participation with its worst qualifying campaign in history, finishing in fifth place. Despite this, Ancelotti supported his players:

" Based on what the team did in the games, I have maximum confidence in the team to have a successful World Cup, to fight every game. Today's game was very special in every way. VAR awarded a penalty. These are things that can be improved ," he said.
